Snatch Blocks
Snatch blocks are incredibly versatile. They can be used in numerous configurations for vehicle recovery.
A snatch blocks primary purposes for vehicle recovery are:
- Increasing a winch’s pulling force
- Redirecting the winch cable to pull a vehicle in need of rescue from various angles
A snatch block provides a mechanical advantage to enhance the pulling force of your winch. The winch cable is passed around the snatch block’s pulley and back to the vehicle. This can almost double the winch-pulling power in a recovery situation.
Bow Shackles
Shackles are metal connection links that connect loads you want to lift and the winch. The most common lifting shackles are Bow Shackles and D Shackles, which are used for different applications.
